18th century with alterations. 2 storeys. Elongated octagon. Red brick.
Pantiles. Windows are pointed paned casements in square openings, and Tudor
style entrance with drip mould. Valuable historical records relating to
Beccles, in the Mayor's Parlour.

Newmarket forms a most important central group including the buildings
around and in the "island".
