Terrace of 4 houses. 1836. Dressed coursed freestone with
granite dressings; asbestos slate roofs, hipped on the left of
No.11; brick end stacks. Double-depth plan; No.8 is slightly
deeper. 2 storeys; overall 12-window range. Each house has
symmetrical 3-window front with cill course. Round-headed
doorway with fanlight over 6-panel door to No.11 and 1-panel
doors to others; shallow segmental arches with projecting
keyblocks over original hornless sashes with glazing bars
except for later 4-pane horned sashes to No.11. Nos 8 & 9 have
margin panes to ground-floor sashes. Rear has original sashes
with glazing bars including taller round-headed stair sashes
with traceried heads. INTERIOR: No.10 has original carpentry
and joinery details, except that window shutters have gone;
original plasterwork, with moulded ceiling cornices to
entrance hall and right-hand room also, cast-iron range by
Avery of Truro, in shallow-depth rear right-hand room. Except
for No.8, which has been converted to 2 flats, the other
houses are said to be virtually complete.
