Town house, now shop. C17 with late C18 alterations and c1790
refronting. Brick with buff headers, some stucco and some
internal timber-frame; tile roof. 2 storeys with attic;
2-window range. Top modillioned brick cornice. 1949 shop front
with 2 entrances, and side entrance to upper floors. 1st floor
has two C19 canted bay windows with cornices over plate glass
horned sashes flanking blind window with rusticated wedge
lintel and key; attic has 2 hipped dormers with plate glass
horned sashes. Rear has gabled wing and later additions.
INTERIOR: some exposed roof trusses cut through for doorways.
Documented back to 1737.
