Town house, now shop. C17 with C19 alterations. Timber-frame
with whitewashed brick infill and underbuilding; renewed tile
roof with rear brick stacks. 2 storeys and attic; 2-window
range. Early C20 shop front with central recessed door and
slender colonnettes to windows, top frieze and cornice;
entrance to left has panel over paired 3-flush-panel doors.
1st floor has two C19 canted bay windows with cornices over
2:4:2-pane horned sashes; attic has 2 gable-dormers with
2-light casements. Timber-framing exposed to 1st floor, square
framing with jowled end posts. Brick rear elevation with wing.
Plastered-over timber-framing to right return, with attic
window. Title abstract goes back to 1660. INTERIOR: chamfered
beams, including large broadly-chamfered beams.
