Midland Bank

GV II

House, now a bank. c1840, probably refronting of an earlier
house and restored c1970. Ham Hill stone ashlar and stepped
stone copings to a slate roof with brick stacks to gable ends,
that to the right is truncated. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys;
3-window range. The facade, with gauged stone arches over
openings, eaves cornice and rusticated quoins, is angled
forward to follow the street-line. The first floor has
8/8-pane horned sashes; the ground floor, has c1970 recessed
openings. INTERIOR not inspected. Included for group value.
