Terraced houses. 1836-7. Yellow brick set in Flemish bond,
stucco, roofs obscured by parapet. Three storeys over
basement, two windows each. Basement and ground floor
stuccoed, the ground floor decorated with banded rustication.
Steps up to round-arched entrance, the doorcase set within a
recessed round arch of smooth stucco, with Ionic pilasters,
fanlight, with decorative glazing to nos 24 and 25, and
panelled doors of original design to all except nos 17, 21 and
23;ground-floor windows round-arched and set within a recessed
round arch of smooth stucco, those to nos 17 and 20-23 having
original radiating glazing bars. Upper windows flat-arched
with gauged-brick heads; some original sashes. Bracketed
balconies to all except nos 19 and 21. Stucco cornice and
blocking-course; stacks on party walls. Cast-iron area
railings with various spearhead finials, and piers with
anthemion decoration to nos 18-23 and 25, though all partly
mutilated.
