House. C17 or earlier. Long, one and a half storeys,
timberframed, facing S. Gabled thatched roof carried down over
continuous rear outshut. Gable ends weatherboarded. Front and
rear walls plastered with weatherboarded apron. Former 3-unit
plan house with chimney stack at upper (W) end of hall, and cross
passage and service rooms at lower (E) end. Eyebrow dormer on
front wall plate indicates hall was floored over but floor now
removed and parlour bay demolished leaving fireplace projecting
on W. Lateral rear chimney at NE has C18 brickwork above roof.
C19 wooden E gable casement window to attic. Small timber storm
porch to door. Modern stable door into E room. Forms S wing of
later house not of special interest.
