2.
House of mid-late C19 appearance with front of multicoloured stock brick, 3
storeys and basement, 3 windows. This is a rebuilt front to an early C18 house
but the only external feature is a central doorcase. Early C19 door, of one
long, battered panel with studded border, has dentilled cornice head and plain
rectangular fanlight in deep reveal. Older, probably original doorcase of 2
fluted composite pilasters supporting entablature with moulded and modillioned
cornice broken back in centre. Between capitals and below architrave an open
pediment with moulded consoles resting on 2 small moulded cornices. Modern shop
at ground floor left, impinging on left of doorcase.
