2 houses. Possibly C18. Stone rubble base with slate-hung probably timber frame
above. Cement washed slate roof with hipped end to front. Brick side lateral stack
on left.
Plan: Original plan uncertain. The house occupies a long narrow plot with the
ground rising steeply to the rear. Through the ground floor there is an alley known
as 'Marble Arch' with No. 14, which is a first floor flat and No. 16 a flat on the
second floor.
Exterior: 3 storeys. Regular single window front. Entrance to alley on ground
floor. First floor slate hung frame, jettied out over pavement with probably C20 16-
pane sash and C20 window in side wall. Second floor set back and slate hung with
sash.
Interior: C19 and C20 joinery to entrances in right hand side wall of alley.
Interiors of flats not inspected.
