House. C17 with early Cl9 refacing. Pebbledashed brick; old tile roof
half hipped to right and hipped to left. Ridge stack off-centre to right,
end stack to left, stack to rear at left, and flat topped Gothick dormer
off-centre to left with 3-pointed arched light leaded casement. Gothick
refacing of earlier house. 2 storeys. 3 first floor Gothick casements
each with 3 pointed arched leaded lights and returned hoodmould. 3 ground
floor Gothick casements to right each with 3 pointed arched leaded lights,
scallop edged blind hood , and returned hoodmould; one Gothick casement to
left with 2 pointed arched leaded lights, scallop edged blind hood, and
returned hoodmould. 6-panelled door between second and third windows from
left with flared lead porch on iron columns. B.O.E, Berkshire, p.315.
