House, now 2 houses, originally incorporating a stone-mason's
workshop. c.1760 but with C19 additions to rear and C20 to
left. Hammer-dressed stone (now limewashed) with slate roof.
Quoins. Central door with dressed surround, heavy timber
frame and original boarded door. Now with a second door (No.
3) to left and C20 porches. 2 casement windows on each floor
with square-cut stone surrounds. Large addition to left
(1986). Blocked elliptical-arched opening to right return.
Rebuilt chimney stacks. An ice-house is said formerly to have
existed at the rear.
