A pair of houses. Dated 1771. Coursed squared rubble limestone with gritstone
dressings, chamfered quoins, plain gables with brick ridge stacks, concrete tiled
roof. Two storeys, two bays, with 2-light flush mullioned windows and C19 glazing
bay casements, those to ground floor with single glazing bars. The heads and sills
are linked by plain bands. Coupled doorways to centre, with massive stone surrounds
and heavy lintels beneath a dripmould. Plain planked doors, and above, at first
floor level, a plaque which links the band courses with inscription
