SP 03 NE BROADWAY CP SNOWSHILL ROAD

House. Probably mid-C18 with C17 remains, mid-C19 additions and early
C20 alterations. Brick and limestone with roofs of stone slate and Welsh
slate. East front of brick with stone quoins and dressings, of two storeys
and three bays. The windows are rebated and chamfered. On the ground floor
are canted bay windows with four lights at the front and with transoms. On
the first floor are cross windows. The doorway has a moulded surround with
Tudor arch. Gable chimneys. The south gable wall of this range has a
rusticated stone window lintel of C18 type. At the rear is a wider parallel
range of stone. On the north side its gable wall has a window with flat-
faced mullions. The attic window in the south gable wall has round heads
to the lights. On the west side are mullioned windows which appear to be
early C20 restorations. Interior: not accessible at time of survey (January
1987).
