Russell Terrace
GV II
Row of three houses. Early to mid-C18 with C19 additions and C20
alterations. Limestone with roof of stone slate and slate. Two storeys.
Three bays are of ashlar and have a storey band and 2-light rebated and
chamfered mullioned windows. In the central bay is a door with cyma-moulded
surround. The stonework of the left-hand bay is painted. The facade to the
left is rendered and painted and has a C20 metal casement on each floor.
To the right of the ground floor window is a doorway with plain reveals.
Adjoining to the right are two bays of squared stone with a storey band
and with 2-light timber casement windows with plain reveals. A door at
the left has plain reveals. At the right is a blocked doorway. Copings
on gables and separating the three sections of the facade. Chimney with
brick cap to right of left-hand doorway on front wall. Other chimneys on
gables, to left of right-hand bay, and to left of right-hand doorway.
