House, formerly lodge. Mid C19. Squared coursed sandstone with
gritstone dressings and slate roof. 2 ashlar chimneys are
arranged symmetrically near the centre of the ridge, with a
3rd chimney near the junction with the rear wing. Cruciform
plan, with short rear wing on east side and 2-storey gabled
porch on west side. West facade has one bay to each side of
the porch, with 2-light chamfered mullioned windows with hood
moulds. The 1st floor windows rise into dormer gables. The
porch has an oriel window on the 1st floor, with stone base
and lead roof. The doorway has a chamfered surround with hood
mould. All 3 front gables, and the side gables, have pierced
wavy bargeboards. The north and south gable walls each have a
timber canted bay window with stone base and lead roof, and a
2-light chamfered mullioned window on the ground floor.
