GV II

House. c1840. Ashlar-faced with Welsh slate roof. Simple
Neo-classical style. 2 storeys, symmetrical 3 bays with
central pedimented gable and projecting porch. Doorway in side
elevation of porch with 4-panelled door and entablature
carried on brackets. 9 and 12-pane sash windows over the
porch, and flanking it on each floor. Full-height angle
pilasters. Similar configuration to elevation to Esplanade,
with 12-pane sash windows in pedimented central bay flanked by
casement windows in outer bays. Lateral and end wall stacks.
Single-storey service wing added to left in early C20 with
Westmorland slate roof and Venetian window cutting the eaves
cornice.
