07/01/52 Gate piers at Manor House

GV II

Pair of gate piers. c1718. Sandstone ashlar. Each pier is
approx half a metre square in section and approx 3m high, in
classical style, with fielded panelled sides, moulded corners,
a frieze with a triglyph in each side, a prominent moulded
cornice, and a ramped pedestal for a ball finial (both these
missing at time of survey). Forms group with Manor House (qv).
