Early C18, formerly part of the Phoenix Inn. Remodelled early C19. Three storeys.
Four windows. Hipped tile roof with old brick stack. Stucco front with cornice
and block course. Slightly recessed sash window with glazing bars and exposed
boxing. Wooden shopfront with pilasters carrying entablature with projecting
cornice. Altered shop windows and doorway. Interior with good original staircase
with turned balusters and moulded handrail. The building is shown substantially
in its present form in a print of circa 1825.
