House, now shop with former living accommodation over. C17,
altered C19 and extensive mid C20 alterations. Timber-framed,
ground floor underbuilt in yellow brick mid C20; colourwashed
pebbledash to first floor, with 3 sash windows with glazing
bars flush set with architrave surround. Eaves cornice and red
machine tiled roof, with gable end facing west, 2 first floor
and one attic sash window on end elevation. Wide C20 display
window on ground floor, timber-framed with mosaic stallriser,
with recessed splayed entrance, and additional display window
on west elevation. North elevation faces East Street. Ground
floor rebuilt in fletton brickwork mid C20, colourwashed
pebbledash above, with 2 C18 mullion and transom windows, with
fixed glazing, on first floor. Occupies a prominent site
between High Street and East Street. Listed for group value.
