Semi-detached house. C18. Lias stone cut and squared, Ham stone dressings; plain clay tiled roof over stone slate base
courses between stepped coped gables; rendered stone slab chimney stacks. Two storeys, 3 bays. Above, 3-light hollow
chamfer mullioned windows, plain glazed with iron framed central opening light and external stays; below, 4-light plain
headed mullioned windows in simple architraves; to lower bay 2 a part-glazed door set in architrave with flat stone
hood on console brackets. Single storey outbuilding against north gable, with undulating double Roman clay tiled roof,
boarded north gable, with one 3-light casement window. Interior not seen, but illustrated is a 2-room cross passage
plan, with C19 lean-to service rooms at rear. (Somerset Villages - Long Load and Knole, Long Sutton, SSAVBRG, 1982).
