Detached villa. c1830, Portland Estate St John's Wood villa development.
Stucco; slate roof. Cottage Orne Tudor-Gothic. 2 storeys with 1-storey wing to
Woronzow Road. 2 windows wide with entrance bay to left and advanced gabled
right hand bay. 4 centred arched doorway with drip mould; 3-light sash window
above with drip mould, small bargeboarded gablet over; to right a canted
stucco oriel on ground floor with mullion-transomed lights and shaped, stone
pent roof; mullion-transomed 1st floor window with drip mould
beneath broad bargeboarded gable. Bargeboards enriched and topped by spike
finials. Similar fenestration to return and crenellated parapet to wing which
has very elaborate twisted chimney. A villa type also found on the adjoining
Eyre Estate in the Abbey Road area.
