House and shop. c.1905 in Queen Anne style with c.1860 brick block
to left. Built of red brick in Flemish bond with orange brick pilasters.
Tiled roof. Rough-cast attic pediments and some decorative tile hanging.
3 storeys and attics. 2 windows to Pantiles, l window to the Square. Both
fronts have projecting pediment with modillion eaves cornice and oculus
supported on elaborate stone brackets. Below these pediments are 2 storey
4 light canted bays with mullioned and transomed windows above and Ipswich
windows below. Left side bay to pantiles has small 3 light dormer. 2nd floor
4 light mullioned and transomed window, 1st floor round headed French window with
side lights with a Venetian window with wooden balcony with fretwork design.
Contemporary shopfront with deep fascia with moulded cornice and 8 pilasters,
To left is c.1860 wing stuccoed with slate roof. 3 storeys, 3 windows.
Bracket eaves cornice, 2nd floor has three 9 pane sashes. 1st floor windows
have marginal glazing bars and cornices. Ground floor has 3 panelled door.
