Terraced house. c.1729 by John Barnes, bricklayer, virtually
unaltered apart from early C.19 addition of top storey. Brown brick
with red brick dressings. 4 storeys and basement. 3 windows wide.
Entrance to left with panelled door in carved wood architrave with
scroll work console brackets to prominent cornice and square
tablet-key to doorhead for street number. Slightly recessed box
framed glazing bar sashes under flat gauged red brick arches. Parapet
with coping. Wrought iron area railings with urn finials. Interior
fully panelled with passage-hall and dog leg staircase with closed
string, turned balusters and column newels. Panelled rooms have box
cornices, bolection chimney pieces; rear closet wing with angle
fireplaces etc.
