A late C18 red brick building comprising a main block of 2 storeys with 2 wings
of 1 storey each, extending to the east. The west front has 2:3:2 window range
and the centre part, of 3 window range, breaks forward slightly. The north and
south ends have 3 window range and the wings have 5 window range. Double-hung
sashes with glazing bars (now dilapidated). The windows to the main block have
stone fleur de lis above the heads and the 1st storey windows on the west front,
centre, are bulls eye windows. A raised brick band runs between the storeys.
Roof slate, hipped on the west front and triple pitched on the east side of the
main block. (The roof was in a state of disrepair at the time of the survey).

The Church of St Peter, The Stables, formerly to Ousden Hall and
dovecote form a group.
