The Old Watch House

(Formerly listed as The Shell Shop (The Old Watch House))

C19 front. Two storeys. Two window bays. Peaked slate roof above left hand bay with parapet continuing over right hand bay. Stuccoed front. In left hand bay, wide sash window on first floor and modern shop front on ground floor. In right hand bay, sash window without glazing bars above; below it, a ledged door with glazed panel in lower part. In south-west return, two widely spaced first floor windows. Grade II for group value.

Nos 14 to 20 (consec), Cobb House flats, the Old Bonded Store flats and shops
and The Old Watch House form a group. The Customs House, Cobb Road, partly closes the vista at the south-west end of Marine Parade.
