House. Early C17; refronted late C18 with later additions and alterations.
Timber frame clad or rebuilt in red brick to front; plain tile roof.
3-bay baffle-entry plan. One storey and attic with floor band and
toothed eaves cornice to front. Framing: exposed to right gable end
and rear; square panels, 3 from cill to wall-plate with long straight
tension braces and hewn jetty to gable of attic; V-struts from collar
and projecting double-purlin ends. Late C19, segmental-headed casements
to left and centre with wide late C20 casement to right and tile-hung
late C19 gabled eaves directly above. Entrance between second and
third windows from left, C20 glazed door in plain C19 pilastered doorcase.
Red brick ridge stack directly above and integral end stack to left.
Interior: not inspected but noted as having chamfered spine beam and
heavy joists in room to right of entrance, which also has partly infilled
inglenook fireplace.
