East window stained glass. Resurrection, by Heaton, Butler and Bayne. Panel 1) -There laid they Jesus- (John 19.42) placing him in the tomb. 2) Now is Christ risen from the dead and become the firstfruits of them that slept-. (1 Corinthians 15.20). 3 ) –He is not here for he is risen-. (Matthew 26.6). the followers of Jesus return after the sabbath, and find his body gone. 4) -Lazarus come forth-. (John 11.43). Jesus raises his friend Lazarus from the grave. 5) -We believe that Jesus died and rose again-. (1 Thessalonians 4.14). The teaching of the promise – follow Jesus and you may live again with Him after death. 6) –He that was dead sat up-. (Luke 7.15). and Jesus gave him back to his mother. (Photo Sept 2007).
