GV II

Farmhouse. Late C16 with early C19 alterations and additions. Timber framed
with painted brick and rendered infill panels; partially rebuilt and extended
in red brick; plain tile roofs. L-plan; probably 3 framed bays with later
wing at rear. 2 storeys and gable-lit attic. External brick end stacks;
dentil brick eaves cornice and integral lateral brick stack to rear wing.
Framing: close studding with middle rail, herringbone-framed panels to
first floor. 3-window front; late C19 two- and 3-light wooden casements
to first floor and 2 ground-floor wooden-framed metal cross-windows to
right; central C19 timber framed gabled porch with 2-light window to front
and door in right-hand return front with 6 flush panels. Blocked first-
floor window to left of central window and 2 blocked ground-floor windows
to left. West front of rear wing has scattered segmental-headed 2-light
casements and door off-centre to left with 4 flush panels and C20 gabled
porch. Interior: not inspected but likely to be of interest.
