Originally St Mary's Church. Now the church hall of the Parish of St Gregory
the Great. The front elevation is buff brick circa 1830 having 2 arched windows
with stone suruounds. Roof has 2 gables arid 4 obelisk-shaped finials. Plinth.
The side elevation is of buff brick with 4 round arched windows. Plinth.
At the rear there is a 4 storey red brick C17 tower with stone coping and 1
window round arched, round or lunette. Later door inserted in arch, To the
left of this is a one storeyed portion of red brick with grey headers. 3 casements,
and a simple doorcase. The North wall of the church hall, which continues
the line of the City Wall, is mediaeval and has mediaeval wall paintings on
its inner face and some ancient glass.


Nos 72 to 74 (consec) and St Mary Northgate Hall form a group.
Also forms a group with Nos 1 to 4 (consec) and Nos 7 to 21 (consec) The Borough.
