Late C16-Cl7 timber -framed building refaced. 2 storeys and attics plastered.
Old tiled roof with 2 gables and 1 tiny hipped dormer. 2 windows, casements
in the dormers and 5 light bays on first floors. Later C19 shopfronts. The
side elevation is part tile hung, part pebble dash. The rear elevation has
2 tile hung gable ends.
Nos 1 to 4 (consec) and Nos 7 to 21 (consec) form a grade II group.
Also forms a group with Nos 72 to 74 (consec) and St Mary Northgate
Hall, Northgate.
