Colourwashed brick ground floor. Timber framed upper part lath plaster infilling.
Nos 2 and 4 have stone and flint rubble bases. Return front to Guilder Lane
of No 78 Winchester Street has tile hung 1st floor and exposed framing to
ground floor, Whole front to Guider Lane has jettied lst floor on curved
brackets. Old tile roof. 10 irregular windows to Guilder Lane, mostly 2
or 3 light C19 casements and 2 sashes on lst floor. Majority of ground floor
windows flush framed sashes, thick glazing bars to No 2. Nos 2, 4, 8 and 14
have C19 doors of 4 flush panels, others modernised. The front facing Winchester
Street of No 78 has 2 small easements on 1st floor and on ground floor 2 modem
bowed shop windows and glazed door replacing Cl9 shop front.
Nos 2 to 14 (even) Guilder Lane, form a group with Nos 56 to 78 (even)
Winchester Street.
