Packhorse Bridge

Pound-lock and packhorse bridge. Late C18, early C19. For
Loughborough Navigation. Ashlar, iron, wood, red brick, some
blue brick and concrete. Late C18 lock with ashlar chamber, some
blue brick and concrete patching, 2 wood and iron gates. Over
the lock is the late C18 red brick bridge. Semi-circular arch
with painted key block. The walls are swept round and terminate
in single brick piers. A band extends over the arch. There is a a
C19 brick parapet with ashlar coping.
