WAPPING WALL E1 1 4431 TQ 5580 23/9 Jubilee Wharf II GV

2. Contiguous with Metropolitan Wharf to east, but with its river front set back; a C1850-60 three storey stock brick warehouse. Five bays plus a sixth recessed bay to Wapping Wall, 5 bays only to the river frontage. Rendered parapet, plain coping to street but river front retaining frieze cornice and blocking course. Four bays of segmental gauged brick arched windows with iron framed glazing on wood casements, Portland sills and fifth westernmost bay containing hatch rank. Pair of original cast iron pivot hoists with circle bracing to spandrels. Set back sixth bay at east end containing hatch rank and has same type of hoist. River elevation has had some alteration to fenestration and the addition of crane boxes and framing (cranes removed). See entry for 'A' warehouse, Metropolitan Wharf, Wapping Wall E1 (qv).
