Farmbuildings. c1840. Painted coursed rubble stone with ashlar
dressings. Stone slate roofs. Quoins. Extended U-plan, with
wall and off-centre gateway on south side. North and east
ranges single storey with stables and various plank doors and
shuttered windows. The west range extends north and includes a
2 storey barn. The north-east front of this range has a plank
doorway flanked by single windows and above 4 loft windows and
a single loft door. Beyond to the north a single storey wing
with a single window. To the south a lower 2 storey range with
a single plank door and a single window, beyond is a single
storey lean-to with a plank door. To the west of this range is
a further single storey wing with various openings.
This is a very good example of a large C19 farmyard.
