Barns and oast house, now house row. Early C17 origins, with C19
addition. Largely re-built in several stages during C20. Rear C17
red brick in English bond. Front elevation re-used bricks in a
number of bonds. Brick kilns. Timber-framed, weatherboarded section
to right end. Plain tile roofs. Brick range, with timber-framed
section at right end which has two C19 circular rear kilns. 2 storeys
and attic on chamfered brick plinth. 2 brick ridge stacks. 2 hipped
dormers. Irregular fenestration of four 3-light leaded casements to
brick section. Half-glazed door to No. 2 to left of centre and to No.
1 to right of centre, each under felt canopy. French doors in lean-to
to front of barn. Interior not inspected. Adjoins south (left) gable
end of Hammonds Cottage (q.v.). Included for group value.
