Early C18. 3 storeys colour washed brick. Stringcourse to 1st and 2nd floor.
Moulded stone cornice. Slate gable end roof. 3 windows, centre blind, on 2nd
floor, recessed sash, glazing bars intact. Canted bay window in centre of 1st
floor, no glazing bars to sashes, panelled apron, frieze and cornice. Formerly
intact plain C19 shop front to ground floor, since modernised but retaining frieze
and small bracketed cornice.

All the listed buildings on the South-West Side, South East Side, Market Hall,
Market Cross and the Fountain form a group.

Also all the listed buildings on the South West Side form a group with
Nos 1 to 18 (consec) Northgate Street.
