Early C19 altered. 4 storeys Bath stone front with flanking pilasters to upper
part, cornice and blocking course. 3 windows, recessed, sash, glazing bars intact
in stone architrave surrounds with additional cornice over 1st floor windows.
Later plain shop front of rather different character on ground floor. Reasonably
designed in conjunction with neighbouring buildings.

All the listed buildings on the South-West Side, South East Side, Market Hall,
Market Cross and the Fountain form a group.

Also all the listed buildings on the South West Side form a group with
Nos 1 to 18 (consec) Northgate Street.
