2 houses, formerly 3. C18. Ground floor Flemish bond brick with blue
headers, first floor tile-hung;peg-tile roof; brick stacks.

Plan: L-plan, Hodge Cottage facing east, Canterbury Cottage adjoining at
right angles and facing south. The houses are sited at the north west corner
of Matfield Green. Hodge Cottage is single depth, 2 rooms wide, Canterbury
Cottage adjoins at the south west and was formerly 2 houses.

Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3-window front to Hodge Cottage with
regular fenestration. C20 gabled brick porch to right of centre. 3 first
floor 16-pane early C19 first floor sashes; 2 similar sashes to the left of
the porch, 12-pane fixed window to the right of the porch with one top-hung
opening pane. The left return has 2 small one-light C20 windows on the ground
floor. Canterbury Cottage has an asymmetrical 4-window south front with a
fielded panel front door to left of centre, 3 first floor 2-light casements,
probably C18 with some square leaded panes and 4 ground floor C20 windows.
