TRUSHAM BROADWAY (south side), Trusham

3/248 Barn at approx. 10 metres
- north of The Old Rectory

Barn and Stable, now Garage and Stable. Probably C16. Painted stone rubble and
cob with hipped wheat reed thatched roof. Long rectangular plan now divided into 3
spaces. Single storey. East front has wide doorway left, door and window to middle
room and wide doorway to right. C20 planked doors and C20 window.
Interior has one surviving jointed cruck frame with morticed, cambered collar and
trenching for purlins. Other trusses probably C18.
Part of a good group.
