Three flights of stairs into sunken garden immediately north of Montacute House

Three garden stairs. Possibly C16 in part, remodelled and C19. Ham stone ashlar. The east and west flights of nine steps, the north flight of seven steps, unmoulded risers and treads: side balustrades with plinths, turned balusters and moulded copings, square end piers, with a variety of vase finials. The stairs set on the axes of the pool and fountain (q.v).
