No 65 and 67

(Formerly listed as No 55 The House adjoining No 55)

Originally two C18 brick houses, no 65 fronting south west on to Waterside and No 67 fronting south east on to the river. One tenement at time of listing.

No 65 is two storeys. Three window range on the south west front and one window range on the south east side, double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in painted reveals. The ground storey windows have stuccoed flat arches.

Adjoining house at the rear (No 67). Two storeys. Seven window range, double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in cased frames. A raised brick band runs between the storeys. The roofs are tiled, No 65 is hipped at the south east end and the adjoining house has a serrated, brick eaves course.

No 33 and smithy at the rear, Nos 35 to 41 (consec), Nos 43 to 47 (odd), Nos 51 to 53 (consec), Malthouse adjoining No 53, No 65 and No 67 and Quayside House form a group with Nos 54 to 64 (even) Quayside.
