House. C17j rebuilt and refronted early C19. Limestone rubble to rear; brick to
gable ends; ashlar front. Gabled Welsh slate roof; brick end stacks.
Double-depth plan. 3 storeys; 4-window range. Stone lintel over late C19
six-panelled door with decorative overlight to right of centre: porch in antis
with Tuscan columns. Stone lintels over plate-glass sashes; raised storey band,
and moulded cornice beneath parapet. Rear: mid C19 gabled wings, roughcast
gabled wings to rear left, of limestone rubble with gabled Welsh slate and
concrete tile roofs. Interior not inspected but likely to be of interest.
Rebuilt shortly before 1828 for Sophia Brown: shown as C17 house on earlier C19
