Marble monument to Rev Thomas Hall late rector of this parish He married Gertrude the daughter of George Beaumont of Chappelthorpe near Wakefield in the County of York by whom he had issue two sons and two daughters. He departed this life 7 May 1734 (or54) Aged 68 years. Arms Argent a mullet on a chevron engrailed between three talbots heads erased sable langued gules (Hall) impaling Gules a lion rampant argent armed and langued azure within an orle of crescents of the second (Beaumont). The crest, a Shell, is the badge of St James and may indicate a pilgrim. (Photo Mar 2014).
