Semi-detached house. Early C19. Ham stone ashlar facade, coursed rubble to sides and rear; Welsh slate roof to shallow
pitch between coped gables; brick chimney sticks on stone bases. Two storeys, 3 bays. Sash windows of 16 pines set in
plain openings; to lower bay 2 a 4-fielded-panel door in plan opening, protected by timber lattice porch with bell-hip
sheet metal roof. Interior not seen. Projecting about one metre from each corner a stone wall with angled coping about
high, and between these, extending across frontage, railings having alternate small loops and arrowheads set on
low stone wall, gate missing: these add to the setting of the house, which is in an important position facing down
South Street looking towards the entrance to Montacute House (q.v).
