School. c1885. Red brick with terracotta dressings and hipped
plain tile roofs with various coped side wall stacks.
Rockfaced Bulwell stone basement and retaining wall. Plinth,
moulded sill bands, shaped coped gables with pediments.
Renaissance Revival style. Windows are mainly glazing bar
sashes with segment or round-arched heads and moulded
keystones. 2 storeys plus basement. Symmetrical main range,
link and corner block to left, single storey rear wing.
Main range has a recessed centre, 8 windows, with 2 gabled
dormers. Projecting end bays, 2 windows, with similar shaped
gables. Link, 2 windows, has irregular fenestration.
Corner block, to left, has 2 windows on each floor, under a
shaped gable. Left return has 3 windows on each floor, and
doorway with overlight to left. Basement has an off-centre
doorway. Rear wing, 9 windows, has at each end a through-eaves
dormer with paired windows.
