Bardon Grange Lodge

GV II

Lodge house. 1860. Attributed to Cuthbert Brodrick. For
William Brown. Ashlar, grey slate hipped roof. 2 storeys, 2 x
2 bays, square plan. S front has a round-arched roll-moulded
projecting entrance with stone slab pitched roof. Single- and
2-light round-headed windows with carved detailing to lintels;
1st-floor windows in splayed architraves, sill and eaves band,
deep moulded eaves raised over main windows on S and E fronts
as small gables. 2 tall ashlar stacks with bracketed cornice.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Similar in style to Brodrick's No.9 Alma Road (qv).
