Wortley Wesleyan Methodist Chapel and schoolroom to rear, now
workshop and store. 1846-7, school later C19, altered C20.
Chapel: ashlar, low-pitched slate roof. Front 3 bays wide with
pedimented gable with blocked circular light in tympanum,
round-headed windows 1st floor with moulded sills on small
brackets and band at sill level, central round-arched doorway
with fanlight, double doors, slightly projecting porch with
stone pilasters supporting entablature. Chamfered quoins.
Returns: 2 storeys, 4 round-headed windows.
Sunday School to rear: facade to Dixon Lane Road has 4 cross
windows in steep gables with copings and moulded finials.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
