Monument to Henry Richard in Abney Park Cemetery

Monument to Henry Richard (1812-1888). Portland stone and pink granite. An arcaded chest with ridged roof on a three-stage base with a portrait medallion on the end arch, above his name written in capitals. The tomb was erected by public subscription in 1891 in memory of Richard, a Congregationalist minister, MP for Merthyr Tidfil (1868-1888), a prominent anti-war campaigner and promoter of religious freedom. The inscription is in English and Welsh.
