GV II

Small house. Early-mid C19; altered. Cream-painted roughcast
with sandstone dressings painted black, slate roof with stone
gable coping. Double-depth single-fronted plan including a
through-lobby to the right.
EXTERIOR: 2 low storeys over a basement, 2 windows; with a
painted plinth, regular quoining above the doorway to the
left, a 1st-floor sillband and a moulded gutter cornice. The
ground floor has a round-headed doorway to the left, up 6
steps protected by simple bar railings, with pilaster jambs
(that on the left at the corner of the building), a moulded
head with a keystone, set-in columns, a door with 6 fielded
panels and a plain fanlight, a rectangular window in the
centre with altered glazing and raised quoined surround
including a keystone, a blocked basement window below this,
and at ground level to the right a round-headed lobby doorway
with a board door and a fanlight with radiating glazing bars.
The upper floor has 2 rectangular windows with surrounds
matching that at ground floor, and altered glazing. Tall
chimney built against higher gable of No.123 (qv) adjoining to
the right.
