Early C19 former hotel and public house. 4 storeys painted brick. Low pitch gable
end slate roof with shallow eaves band. 4 windows to upper floors those to right
set further over (later extension?). Brick bands over 1st and 2nd floors. 1st
floor sill course. Recessed sashes with flat stucco arches,
glazing bars intact to right. Anthemion flower guards and blind cases on 1st floor.
2 windows ground floor with raised surrounds, door between of 4 moulded panels,
semi-circular fanlight, doorcase of panelled pilasters, heavy console brackets
to cornice over, all this Victorian. Garage doors to right inserted in former
shop front with brackets flankng cornice. Listed for group value.
No 3 forms a group with Nos 31, 32 and 34 to 43 (consec) Newborough.
